lainie As a graduate of the University of Maryland, Lainie first worked as a photojournalist covering political events on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. However, she soon decided on a change of coast and made the move to California, finding Hollywood to be like political D.C., only with better looking people! Lainie started her L.A. career working with legendary Vanity Fair photographer Steven Meisel on a shoot with Madonna and an elephant (that's a story for another time). And soon after that she began working on movie sets with "dream directors" such as Ron Howard, Tony Scott, Irwin Winkler, Christopher Guest, and the awesome Coen brothers, Joel and Ethan. She learned from Hollywood's best how to "direct" her clients and achieve results. Through years of working together, Kelsey and Lainie share a visual style and shooting philosophy that are evident in their collaborations. | |

maia Maia was raised in a small town in northern California among vineyards, llamas, and gold country. She moved to LA to pursue an "actors life" and stumbled upon two new loves: graphic design and being a part of a functioning, creative, amazing work environment. Few people possess the gift of creating a calm, welcoming atmosphere in an industry that demands quick results and leaves little room for error. Yet upon hiring Maia, Kelsey Edwards not only found one with such qualities, but also a woman whose structure and organization has made running a small business seem effortless and easy. Recently Maia found her other calling and love of helping mothers be their own advocate in the world of pregnancy, labor, and breastfeeding. She now has a more "behind the scenes" role at KEP so she can stay home with her son, born in December. (order retouching and prints and you'll get to talk to her!) Her life philosophy is "You think that the goal is to be over there, and we say the goal is the journey over there; the goal is the fun you have along the way on your way to over there."--- Abraham Hicks |
